Meet Our Doctor and Office Team
Blane J. Nasveschuk, DMD – Dentist

A Rutland, VT dentist, Blane J. Nasveschuk, DMD, and office team share a passion to improve the lives of those they care for through the practice of dentistry.
Blane J. Nasveschuk was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He graduated East Brunswick High School in ’71, a NJ State Champion gymnast, then attended Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as a “four for four” scholar athlete. He qualified for NCAA National Tournaments, trained in Japan, competed internationally, was Co-Captain of the Owl’s Gymnastic Team his senior year and graduated in 1975 with a BA Geology.
Blane and Cindi Giovanni married, soon after college and the couple moved to west Philly, where Blane attended The University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, receiving his dental degree in 1979. Through 1980, Dr. Nasveschuk did a General Practice Residency at Long Island Jewish- Hillside Medical Center (Now Northshore LIJ Hospital) located in New Hyde Park, NY. He entered “general dental practice”, first in Charlotte, NC and then moved to Rutland, VT in April 1981.
Dr. Nasveschuk began integration into the Rutland community with Dental Associates of Rutland, and Affiliates in Dental Care. In October 1988, he started Implant and General Dentistry of Vermont, expanding the scope of his general dental practice to include dental implant placement and restoration.
Besides professional contributions to the Vermont State Dental Society through its Council on Dental Education and the Rutland County Dental Society, Dr. Nasveschuk has been a 20 year Rotarian and past Rutland County United Way Campaign Chair and President. Although a volunteer for numerous activities and events involving his wife and sons, Chris, Pete and Matt, Dr. Nasveschuk is most delighted with his “catalytic” role that led to the building of the Rutland Regional Field House, now Castleton State College’s Spartan Arena, at the Diamond Run Mall.
Dr. Nasveschuk models a healthy life style for his family, friends and patients. He truly enjoys the benefits of the intense physical exercise of his youth, whether running the New York City Marathon, cycling through the Green and White Mountains, Telemark skiing at Killington and Pico or just working out at the gym!
“Our facility, dedicated team and our leadership for the best we can offer, are our gifts to our community and its citizens. Our personal commitment to live a clean and balanced life gives us clarity with our patients, to better serve their priorities for comfort, beauty, functionality and health.”
Cindi Nasveschuk – Concierge and Business Manager
Cindi (Giovanni) Nasveschuk was born in Yonkers, NY. Over the years she spent her early childhood moving with her family to England, New Jersey, Georgia and then back to NJ just in time for her senior year in high school. She graduated from East Brunswick High School in 1971 and then four years later in 1975 from Glassboro State College with a degree in Elementary Education. She was also a four year Varsity Gymnast at Glassboro and Co-captained her team in her senior year. Cindi and Blane married shortly after college graduation. While Blane was attending dental school at University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, Cindi was also earning her “PhT” (Putting Him Through!) working at a variety of teaching positions including speech correction, remedial math, 7th and 8th grade math in south NJ, gymnastics in Philadelphia, PA, and even typing for the note-taking service at the dental school.
Christopher was born in Philadelphia in ’78. The family moved to New Hyde Park, NY in ‘79 for Blane’s Residency program, then to Charlotte, NC for a brief time before relocating to Rutland, VT in April 1981. Peter was born later that summer and Matthew in May of ’84. The family settled into a wonderful life in Rutland Town: school, baseball, soccer, skiing, and RAHA hockey… with mom still teaching, judging gymnastics and bringing the boys to Dunklee’s Gymnastics Camp in South Hero, VT every summer!
Cindi started helping out at Blane’s practice in the autumn of ’89. Matt had just started kindergarten, and it seemed like a good idea! Over the past 20 years, the “Idea” has evolved and blossomed for Cindi. In addition to her skill as a clinical assistant, she is the consummate “concierge” manager and advocate for the highest level of communication, understanding and service.
Cindi continues to share the lives of her growing family… the adventures of three sons growing up… from Rutland HS, MSJ Academy and Exeter, to Middlebury, Bowdoin, RIT and the US Navy… weddings, grandchildren and having fun playing volleyball, rock climbing and knitting with friends. Life is Good!
Christie Bentz, RDH, BS – Dental Hygienist
Christie was born and raised in Rutland, VT, graduating from Rutland High School in 1995. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Biology at the University of Alaska Southeast, while working in a variety of medical and dental settings… from an operating room technician and oral/facial surgical assistant, to commercial fisherwoman! She completed her Dental Hygiene Program here in Vermont in the spring of 2007, and was awarded the Outstanding Clinician Award. Christie is working on a Masters degree in Genetics and Chromosome Therapy. She met her husband, Chad, in Alaska, and married him on top of Killington in 2003. They make their home in West Rutland, with their a beautiful daughter, Kyla.
Christie and her family have done lots of traveling, as her husband, Chad, is a professional baseball player. He is a left-handed relief pitcher… with an awesome curve ball! They have an interest in many outdoor activities, exercise, and sports, of course.
The idea of promoting and performing health care has always been an important pursuit for Christie. She builds on all her experiences to reach her goal of providing optimal, ethical dental care as a licensed dental hygienist.
Christie joined our team in the spring of 2007. We are happy to be able to bring her energy and experience to our patients.
Rachel Bartlett – Registered Dental Assistant

Rachel married Scott Bartlett in 2000. The couple has two beautiful boys, Cameron and Jayden.
She has been in the dental field since 1998 as a Registered Dental Assistant. She took some time off in 2002 to raise her two boys and to attend Community College of Vermont where she received an Associates Degree in Human Services. Rachel joined the team of Implant and General Dentistry of Vermont, the office of Dr. Blane J.Nasveschuk in 2008.
Rachel loves spending time with her family. Her favorite time of the year is fall and loves the cool but warm autumn days, especially during walks. When she is not busy with her two boys, she likes to spend time with friends, relaxing in the sun and playing volleyball.
